We are excited to welcome Delaney Yuko Ross as our new Artistic Director.
Delaney is the drama and theater director at Hawai'i Preparatory Academy.. She studied classical voice at the Manhattan School of Music, earned a B.A. in ethnomusicology (study of music through an anthropological or cultural lens) from Barnard College at Columbia University, and an M.S. in education from the University of Edinburgh. She was on her way toward a doctorate in ethnomusicology from UCLA when the opportunity arose to join HPA’s faculty. Formally the choir director for the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, we are excited to welcome her to the Kona Aloha Singers family where she joins her parents Dale and Ken Ross.
Assistant Artistic Director, Roxanne Fox was raised on the West side of Hawaii Island, Roxanne Fox grew up performing with Aloha Performing Arts Company, and Kona Festival Chorale. She participated in the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival in Waimea for several years before relocating to Wilmington, North Carolina. She performed with the Opera House Theatre Company, Level 5 City Stage, Cape Fear Shakespeare and got her first taste of film and television before moving to the Big Apple. Roxanne completed the 2-Year Musical Theatre Track at The Circle in the Square Theatre school, where she performed with the Alumni Ensemble. She was a founding member of The Aloha has Improv troupe. She has also performed with Oregon Contemporary Theatre, and The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. She has worked in Development for several Performing Arts Nonprofits including Storybook Theatre of Hanapepe. Roxanne taught drama and performing arts classes with Hualalai Academy, Kuleana Education, and Innovations Public Charter School. In September of 2022 she began working as Education Director for Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu. Roxanne Fox is honored to be Kona Aloha Singers' new Assistant Director!
